My name is Violetta, and I'm italian.
My passion for
cooking originates from my family; in fact my mother was a cook of great value
and was stressed several times to open her own brand, even abroad, in
particular in the US.
However,
she preferred to dedicate herself to our
family, and she transmitted all her knowledge of italian regional cuisines to me
and my sisters.
Despit of
different studies and job experiences (a philosophy degree and several years in public relationships) I always loved cooking, continuing to
study and improving my knowledge with suggestions coming from my trips abroad
and study of food properties, to obtain a healthy and tasty cooking.
Almost three years ago I moved to London with my husband and my children, and I opened and managed as chef a small Italian restaurant in Ruislip Manor, which had good success.
No longer able to manage the business alone, I decided to close the restaurant and start this new adventure that combines two of my passions: the Italian kitchen and the teaching of the Italian language, so rich in nuances with his direct descent from Latin , appreciated abroad particularly for the opera.
I firmly believe that food may be the best vehicle for
learning a new language. This is how Speak&CookItalian.
